The best surgical approach to glaucoma in Sturge-Weber syndrome is yet to be established. This report is of a patient with bilateral Sturge-Weber syndrome with adult-onset glaucoma uncontrolled with medical therapy. Trabeculectomy was performed in 1 eye and Ahmed glaucoma valve implant surgery on the other in separate sittings. Eighteen months postoperatively, the intraocular pressure was controlled without medication in the eye with the Ahmed glaucoma valve implant. The intraocular pressure in the eye in which trabeculectomy had been performed needed additional topical medical therapy to be controlled.
