Herpes Zoster Ophthalmicus with Abducens Palsy

Ocular muscle palsies are well known complications of herpes zoster ophthalmicus, especially those involving the third nerve. The prognosis for these palsies is usually good with most cases resolving within 6 weeks. This report is of an uncommon case of sixth nerve palsy in association with herpes zoster ophthalmicus.
